Spring is here, or at least it is supposed to be. That means it’s time once again for the annual Fredericksburg Toyota Meet.
Click here to read the original article on the Japanese Classics of VA site
This year, the meet was hosted by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . This shop specializes in 4×4 vehicles, particularly Land Cruisers.
Iron Pig even has their own on-site rock garden to test out their handiwork.
Land Cruisers everywhere!
I loved this extended cab long wheelbase example that was in the shop.
Even though it’s supposed to be a spring meet, apparently nobody told the Jet Stream. It was so cold there were even a few flurries! Some people went in the shop to warm up by the heater.
It’s not strictly Cruisers at Iron Pig, as this awesome Coyote-swapped Bronco demonstrates.
This group of Toyobarion FRZ86 owners were among the first to arrive on the chilly morning.
Though the weather seemed keep attendance lower than past events, but turnout was still pretty great.
There were models from all kinds of time periods, body styles, and Toyota’s sub-brands.
The patina on this old FJ fits the vehicle’s rough and tumble capabilities.
There were a few neat non-Toyotas there too. Not every day you see a Saabaru!
Toyota through the decades: 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s
Eric’s X3 Cressida was a hit as always.
After all, you don’t see a 1UZ-powered X3 like this every day.
Ready for takeoff.

A little bit of something new, a little bit of something old.
Lots of clean cars made it out!
Including this beautiful, original AW11, one of the cleanest example I’ve seen recently!
I like Supra butts and I cannot lie.
Eric’s Cressida wasn’t the only 1UZ swap, as this MA70’s transplant was even sporting a supercharger!
That face says it all, nothing brings a smile like a classic, as this gorgeous MA60 demonstrates.
Most people wouldn’t give this Corolla wagon a second look.
But it’s packing some 3S-GTE power! This car is one hell of a sleeper, even if the hole in the hood might just give it away a little bit!
Low Lexae are low
Erik’s SW20 turbo always draws cameras as well.
Despite the cold, we had a lot of fun and look forward to next year. Big thanks to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for hosting the meet! If you’re into 4×4’s, be sure to check them out!

Nice rides! I’m trying to suggest to the Mrs that our daughter’s first car should be a second-gen MR2. She’s only six, but a little early planning never hurt anyone.
I was a little disappointed that this wasn’t Fredericksburg TX, where I was
supposed
to be 2 weeks ago for the
Hill Country Rallye
, but I digress...

When I saw, "Toyota meet" I had images in my head of a bunch of late model Corolla's. Lots of cool older Toyotas that I forgot about.

Toyota has an incredible history of making amazing cars. Unfortunately that pretty much ended in the 90's in this country.
